Prayer Encouragement - 8th February 2021

Last week some scripture emerged that seemed to sum up what various people felt led to pray into in their prayer slots. It’s from 2 Kings 6, particularly verses 15-17:

‘When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked. “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.’

As you pray this week, you may want to meditate on these verses, and thank the Lord that as we pray for situations that could feel huge and overwhelming – we are on the side of the one who is victorious! We pray alongside Jesus who is King of Kings and whose purposes never fail! May God open your eyes to see His Kingship afresh and to know that He calls us to be confident in Him as we pray! Thank you, Jesus, that you are doing mighty things in our city, our churches, our nation and throughout the world! And thank you that you invite us to be part of it!

Don’t forget to send any scriptures, prophetic words, testimonies, or some prayer points you covered in your slot to the House of Prayer team on This is just so we can keep up with what everyone is sensing and make an anonymised record of the rhythm of prayer during this season! Bless you!
